Photoshop Plugins

This page describes the StarNet and DeepSNR Photoshop plugins: current releases, system requirements, installation instructions, and how to use the plugins in Photoshop.

Photoshop plugin releases

StarNet2 removes stars and DeepSNR reduces noise directly on Photoshop layers. Both run locally as panels in the Plugins menu, not as Filter or Smart Filter entries.

Download StarNet2 or DeepSNR, then follow the shared installation guide.

Release matrix

Each plugin has one combined download for Windows x64, Intel Mac and Apple Silicon Mac. Models are included; no separate command-line installation is needed.

System requirements

Having trouble? Please report it using the StarNet2 or DeepSNR feedback form. Include your Photoshop version and what went wrong - the more detail you share, the easier it is to investigate and improve the plugins.

Requires Adobe Photoshop 26.11.7 or newer. Install using the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app. Not compatible with Affinity Photo or older Photoshop versions.

Your Photoshop version must also support your operating system.

Use stretched (nonlinear) RGB or grayscale images in 8-bit or 16-bit mode. Linear images and 32-bit images are not supported.

Release notes

StarNet2 and DeepSNR 1.0.5 · build 0006

  • Fixed the “unknown color profile” error when processing documents with embedded color profiles. The original document profile is preserved.
  • Fixed the “16 bit value is outside the Photoshop range” error with large 16-bit images, and corrected large-buffer reads to preserve pixel values.
  • No image-size cap, automatic resizing or highlight clipping was added. Large images still require sufficient memory.
