StarNet CLI tools

Download standalone StarNet CLI packages here. PixInsight users should use the StarNet repository so PixInsight can keep the module updated.

Latest version

Current StarNet2 CLI packages for star removal outside PixInsight, including command-line processing, automation, and integration with other image processing software. This release includes installer files. See CLI installer locations for installed paths.

StarNet2 2.6.2 improves linear FITS handling, output fidelity, and processing diagnostics. StarNet2 also improves intermediate 2× processing and difference and unscreen star layers. See the StarNet2 command-line reference for input ranges and output rules.

Windows CLI packages include DirectML runtime files. Acceleration depends on your GPU and driver; the tool falls back to CPU if DirectML cannot initialize.

System requirements

  • Requires 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11.
  • Windows ONNX Runtime packages support DirectML acceleration with CPU fallback when DirectML is unavailable.
  • DirectML runtime files are included; acceleration depends on GPU and driver support.
